May Planning Meeting

Here are the items of discussion covered at the Inner City Planning and Heritage Committee meeting on Tuesday, May 5th from 7:00PM to 8:30PM in the Board Room at the ICA Community Hall.

Details

  1. LOC2026-0046 - 1839 9 Ave SE This application is for a land-use redesignation for a potential redevelopment on this parcel of land. The committee received a presentation from O2 Planning, whom are handling the redesignation, about the project. The committee was generally supportive of the land use change but are cautious until a concept for development and development permit are proposed.

  2. DP2026-01819 — 1414 8 Ave SE This application is for an addition on an existing home. The only concern from the committee was potentially exceeding allowable lot coverage, which will be double -checked. Otherwise, Committee supports.

  3. DP2026-02143 - 1918 9 Ave SE This application is for a rear addition to the Datum Homes building providing garage space, additional offices and meeting spaces.   4. Southbow LAP Process The committee discussed the early sessions of the LAP process that have begun including impressions and feelings about the value of the steps being taken. Our chair spoke to the diverse representation compiled by the city and updated present members on how the proceedings went.
