We Love Volunteers!
Our community members volunteer for ICA events for various reasons - to meet neighbours, apply skills and give back to the community. As a volunteer-run association, we rely on our dedicated volunteers to keep the ICA moving forward.
At the ICA, our Volunteer Program strives to put your skills to use and to provide meaningful volunteering opportunities. If you have skills outside of what is advertised below, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator at - it would be our pleasure to match you with an opportunity best suited to your strengths.
The ICA has a 12 member board (plus additional Directors-at-Large) that renews every September at our AGM. Please contact us if you are interested in running for a Board Position.
Message from Talia Potter, Volunteer Coordinator
Dear ICA Volunteers and Members,
My name is Talia Potter and I am excited to be taking on the role of Volunteer Director with the ICA starting NOW!
I am a resident, homeowner and ICA member myself. My partner, child, dog and I have lived in the community for 10 years this November, but I have a longer history with the neighbourhood. As a kid, I lived at 1338 8th Avenue and my dad grew up in the community too, at 1414 16th Street.
I am a lifelong volunteer and a career volunteer manager, and I am super keen to see what I can do to contribute to an already strong and well-established volunteer program for Inglewood.
Your feedback about why volunteerism is important in our community and how volunteers can best support Inglewood is important to me.... whether you are an active volunteer in the community or not. I've put together a quick survey to gather input from you, about volunteerism in Inglewood. The survey will be active until October 31 and I would so appreciate if you would take a few minutes to fill it out.
