May is around the corner meaning our ICA meetings will soon be happening again. Here are the upcoming meetings and newsletter deadlines:


Inner City Planning and Heritage Meeting

Tuesday, May 6th from 6:30pm to 7:30pm at the ICA Community Hall


ICA Community General Meeting

Monday, May 12th from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at the ICA Community Hall


We’re pleased to share that Project Leads from both the Green Line and Ramsay-Inglewood Public Realm Improvements will be joining us for our next General Community Meeting. This is a great opportunity to hear firsthand about the current status, upcoming milestones, and future plans for these important projects shaping our community.

Picnic Volunteers needed!


Immediately following the river clean-up is our annual Community Picnic on May 3rd from 1PM and 4PM.


We still need volunteers to help make the picnic happen. Please sign up and make this event possible!



River and Community Clean Up


The annual River and Community Clean-Up is occurring on May 3rd from 10AM to 2PM.


Spots still remain open for the 17 clean-up areas across Inglewood! Free food at our community picnic for participating clean-up volunteers.



Soccer Volunteers needed


We are still seeking volunteers to help manage the necessary work for our beloved Kid’s Soccer program. Soccer coordinators and coaches are vital to the set-up and operations of this program. Required police checks will take some time so if you are considering please sign-up sooner rather than later!

Street Sweeping


Calgary residential street sweeping began mid-April and will run until the end of June. Sweeping occurs Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4 pm.


The city schedule contains details about when your address will be impacted.

The annual Calgary Bike Swap event is coming up on May 3rd, 2025


The event will be at:

Tree Party


You're invited to a Tree Party! Join us on May 31st 9AM to 1PM at the Alexandra Centre to celebrate the growing season.


Learn more about tree-planting and nature-based solutions in Calgary.


The Tree Party will be joined by nature and climate organizations from across Calgary, as well as a special keynote presentation by educator and urban arborist Dustin Bajer.

Registration for recreational soccer for 2 to 6-year-olds is open until May 4th.


Soccer runs

Thursdays - May 15 to June 19

6:15 PM to 7:00 PM


• ICA Members - $35.00/kid


• Non-members - $45.00/kid


• Soccer volunteers - $15.00/kid (one discount per volunteer)




Creative Seeds Outdoor Exploration Camp


Hands-on art, imaginative play, and outdoor adventure!


Camps will be held at the Inglewood Community Association.


Sessions run from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM on the following weeks:


July 28–August 1,


August 11–15 (Fully Booked), &


August 25–29.
