A quick update on the Ramsay-Inglewood Public Realm Improvements project as well as share the attached construction notice, which indicates a one-way condition on 11 Street between 18ave and 21ave in Ramsay. Southbound traffic will be maintained using 9 Street as a detour. In general the project has been making good progress, with this years focus being in Ramsay as well as 11 Street SE in Inglewood. One noteworthy milestone for the project is the new traffic signal that was commissioned this week at 11 Street and 9 Avenue SE.
Construction Notice: Ramsay-Inglewood Public Realm Improvements
General Project Update:
Construction on the east side of 11 Street S.E. between 21 Avenue and 18 Avenue S.E. is about to get underway. While heavy rain in July caused some delays, overall progress in the Ramsay community has been going well. Our main goal is to finish the sidewalks, multi-use pathway, new traffic signals, and updated roadway alignment before winter sets in. If time allows, we’ll also look to complete additional landscaping and amenities. We’re hopeful for a mild fall so we can wrap up these important improvements before the colder weather brings the construction season to a close.
Temporary Closures and One Way Traffic Changes:
Starting Tuesday, September 23, 11 Street S.E. will become a One Way northbound between 21 Avenue and 20 Avenue S.E. Southbound vehicle traffic will be diverted to use 9 Street S.E. before returning to 11 Street S.E. (Please refer to the traffic map on the next page for more details)
This closure will remain in place for approximately three weeks (weather dependent) while the 11 Street S.E. corridor surface reconstruction work continues through the area. The work will then continue north, across 20 Avenue and 19 Avenue S.E.
Temporary Changes to Vehicle Traffic:
• 11 Street between 21 Avenue S.E. and 20 Avenue S.E. will become a one way while
southbound traffic will be temporarily diverted to use 9 Street S.E.
• The east end of 20 Avenue S.E. will be closed at 11 Street S.E. with access remaining from 9 Street S.E. only.
• Southbound business access to the east side of 11 Street S.E. will be retained at 20 Avenue S.E.
Pedestrian Access:
• Sidewalk access will be maintained along the 11 Street corridor and to local businesses and homes. Additional temporary crossing locations and defined pedestrian areas have been added to assist in getting pedestrians to their destination. Please follow all on site signage.
Changes to Bus Transit Routes:
• The northbound bus stop at 21 Avenue S.E., servicing Route 302 and Route 24 will be temporarily relocated.

Business access will remain OPEN.
