We had reviewed a Land Use application last year. There are some environmental issues that need to be resolved but the applicant is requesting that this be dealt with at the Development Permit stage. In an effort to keep this application moving through the system in a timely manner the Redevelopment Committee is recommending a Motion to support proceeding with Land Use application and resolve environmental issues at the DP stage. The environmental issues will get resolved either way it's just a matter of trying to keep the project moving. This project is an important addition to Inglewood and will help the knit the 9th Ave. retail fabric back together. We are also supporting a motion to the closing of the 9th St right of way south of 9th Ave to allow it to be incorporated into adjacent properties with the support of landowners that may be affected.
