Call to Order: The meeting was called to order by Gian Carlo Carra at 7:05 p.m.
Approval of Minutes: 9 June 2008 minutes – Moved by Jessica Tamblyn, Seconded by Peter Abbott, Carried unanimously
Approval of Agenda: Approval of the agenda, moved by Jackie Hamilton, seconded by Ray Spiteri, Carried unanimously.

REDEVELOPMENT – Ray Spiteri
Blackfoot Truck Stop lands
The Motion of Notice to Council to force the City to review the use of the Blackfoot Truckstop land passed with flying colours
Henry’s Pub Site
The Owner’s tried to adjust the materials and remove the tree. Both items were part of the commitment for the increase in density and the ICA was not flexible on either issue
They appear to be wiling to work with the ICA on both issues
Nine Unit Apartment on Tenth Avenue (Behind Lou’s Autobody)
The file was received recently and will be reviewed
2007 8th Avenue
The proposed plans were completely rejected by the Redevelopment committee because it does not fit into the surrounding streetscape
Eat, Eat Restaurant
Change of use application to allow the restaurant to double in size
Parking relaxations will be required
Motion to support approval of the expansion with the parking relaxations
Moved by Ray Spiteri, seconded by Alex Lewis, carried unanimously
9th Avenue Bridge
Work is planned to happen in the next few years
The historical nature of the structure needs to be recognized in the redevelopment plans
The bridge was built in 1909
4 Saint Monica
New infill dwelling
Motion to support approval with the conditions that they minimize the width of the driveway at the street, use real window mullions, use the same treatment for the front porch rail as the rear, and reduce the massing to what is allowed by the bylaw.
Moved by Ray Spitieri, seconded by Hugh Johnson, carried unanimously
OUTWEST PARK SCULPTURES
There is still an issue with City in regards to removing the sculptures, the issue will continue to play out
PRESIDENT’S REPORT
Work on the remaining three lots for the completion of the New Street Dyke has started
The Calgary Fringe Festival will be held in Inglewood from August 1st thru 10th
A letter was sent to the Zoo regarding the state of the South Parking lot. The letter was received positively by the Zoo and action has already taken place
Motion to approve the costs for adding eavestroughs to the Skate Shack for a cost of $1,054 plus GST
Moved by Gian Carlo Carra, Seconded by Barbara Beard, carried unanimously
Cinnamon Barn
The community is still hoping that the barn will be redeveloped, although no action has taken place since it was purchased by the new Owner’s
Barn near the National Hotel
Redevelopment of this barn has been set aside since the National Hotel project fell through

Trees in the Neighbourhood are in need of pruning and requests from some members of the committee have been ignored

ART FESTIVAL
Sunday afternoon event that is being held as part of the Fringe Festival
Event will be held at Jack Long Park on 3 August 2008 (11am – 3pm)

NELLIE BREEN PARK
No update on the build for this Park, the City’s work has yet to be completed
There is still time to make a tile
FINANCIAL REPORT
The Audited March 2008 financials will be available for the September AGM
GST return was filed on time and there was a small rebate
June bank account balances were provided
The May 2008 financials were provided
YARD SALE
The yard sale was successful with 26 tables sold
Thank you to Mandy Jones for arranging pickup by the Calgary Drop In Centre of any items that were not wanted by the vendors
GLOBAL NEWSCAST REGARDING LIVING IN INGLEWOOD
The broadcast was disappointing in that it reflected life in Inglewood 15 years ago and did not focus on the current issues
