Graham attended the Lydney School of Art and the Royal West of England College of Art in the UK before coming to Canada. He received his BFA Hon. at York University in Toronto. He then received his MFA at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City where he had a Teaching Fellowship and a Research Scholarship.

From 1975 to 2004 he was a visual arts instructor at Red Deer College; a practicing sculptor with a special focus on bronze casting and for a time, Chair of the Art Department. He also taught bronze casting at the College summer arts program for many years. Since retiring and moving to Inglewood, he has maintained a studio at the Burns Visual Arts Society in Ramsay.

Graham's work is in many permanent and private collections, and can be viewed at the Collector's Gallery in Inglewood or at his Ramsay studio during the Eastside Crawl in September.
